ABOUT ME
Chandler Gilow, RN, BSN, CBS
Hi! My name is Chandler Gilow. I have been interested in all things birth for as long as I can remember. While on a short-term trip to the Philippines in college, I served in a prenatal clinic and knew from that moment that I wanted to serve families. I immediately enrolled in nursing school, thinking I would end up being a midwife.
At the end of nursing school, I married my best friend, and our first daughter joined us a little over a year later. Her birth was a planned birth center birth, but ended in an ambulance transfer and emergency C-section. Her birth gave me a huge heart for helping parents prepare for the unexpected.

We headed to the Middle East when she was 9 months old. Her little sister joined us a year and a half later. I spent my whole pregnancy finding a hospital and a provider that I felt comfortable with AND would support a VBAC. We had to relocate to the capital for the birth, but I was able to have a successful VBAC. It was a lot of work, but it was a healing experience.

The Global Birth Coach was created in 2020 to fill the gaps I experienced and provide the resources I wish I had when we were figuring out birth in a new country. It has been a tremendous joy and privilege to walk with families.
MY APPROACH
Holistic, Compassionate, Balanced
Holistic.
Your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey are just part of your story. Your past, expat journey, and emotional/physical/spiritual health all matter and shape what support and resources you need and your bandwidth to navigate your journey.

Compassionate.
I firmly believe that parents need to feel seen and heard. Someone needs to be looking at their whole story and how it all connects.

Balanced.
The world is filled with strong convictions about birth and parenting options. My goal is to help parents have access to all the information they need to make an informed decision that aligns with their needs and family values. I will never judge a family for making an informed decision for their family.
